Happy 4 Month Birthday Harper!

Harper,
I cannot believe that you are already 4 months old. This month you have changed so much. It seems like everyday you are evolving.  I feel so blessed that I can work from home and witness all of these changes.

Right now, you are very obsessed with you hands. You love to put you hands in your mouth ( and I mean your whole hand sometimes both at the same time). You are also starting to drool a lot. People keep saying that you are teething but I still have not seen a tooth yet.

You have also found your feet. You are not to sure what to do with them but you do like grab and try to put them in your mouth.

You also are very observant. You love to people watch and be apart of everything. We think you are going to be very social, since you always want to be propped up with your boppy so you can see what is going on around you. Another thing you love to do is watch sports on TV. Your favorite sports to watch are tennis and soccer. It is so cute. You will actually turn your head if I am feeding you so you can watch the games. We do not get the same reaction out of you when you watch golf. I guess it must be too slow of a sport to watch. Hopefully, this changes or we are in trouble.

This month you weigh 14 pounds and are 24. inches in length. You are still in size 1 diapers and you are just wearing 0-3 month clothes. You actually have more clothes than me ,since your grandparents love to buy you new ones each time they visit.

You are also eating about every 4 hours with a 4-6 oz bottle. Right before you go to bed for the night, you are eating an 8 oz bottle mixed with formula and cereal.  This has helped you stay fuller longer, so you sleep more. For the most part, you are sleeping "through" the night but you do awake for a feeding about 5 am on some days. You really keep us on our toes with your sleep schedule.

Your favorite toy is still your Bright Stars Playmat. That is why we even had to take it on vacation with us. You are now actually pulling on the playmat and kicking at the toys above you. It is so cute.

At your 4 month checkup you did so well. Dr. Craft said that you were one of the most active babies he had
every seen. You just kept kicking and smiling to him the whole appointment. When you got your 4 month shots you only cried for a minute. I actually seemed to be more upset about it than you were. Thank goodness for your dad who calmed both of us down.

You are also now an international traveler. During the first week of June you traveled to Bermuda. I had been worried for months on how this trip would go and it went well. So , there was no need to worry. You did so great on the airplane ride to Bermuda that you were given a pair of wings.

You became the most popular guest at the resort we stayed at, The Reefs. All the waitstaff just loved you. Funny thing is that children are not really allowed at this resort and they kept talking about how you were better behaved than the adults staying there. Every night for dinner we would dress you up and you would just slept in your carrier at the end of the table. You also really enjoy the pool and  playing in the water. However, you are not a fan of getting out of the pool. I think it is because you do not like getting cold.

You are one little girl who is loved by so many. Everyone including your Grammy, Grandad, Uncle Brandon, Aunt Anne and Uncle Bryan really enjoyed spending the whole week with you while on vacation. It was so sweet to see how much joy you bring to everyone.

Harper Nicole, I want you to know that your dad and I love you so much. You have the sweetest smile and personality. One thing that I love is when you wake up in the morning because you always have this huge smile on your face. This always makes my day. I cannot wait to see how much more you change in the upcoming months. However, I do catch myself getting sappy when I have to pack away your clothes for the next size. So, it would be ok with me if you just slowed down a little bit. :)

Love you always,
Mom
