Finding Out Were Having A Baby

After 4 years of being married, Will and I decided that it was time to embark on a new challenge and bring Lilly a play buddy. Trying to get pregnant was not as easy as I had thought it was going to be. I must say, I am jealous of those women who have no trouble in this area and get pregnant the first time they try. However, all things worked out perfectly for us. During that year, we were able to travel and play as much golf as we desired and fully got to the point where we wanted more in both our lives.

We discovered we were pregnant the day we got back for our vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC. I had taken a test the day I left for vacation and still was not pregnant. So, needless to say Will and I enjoyed a nice long week at the beach with family and friends while partaking in many fun beach activities :). However, by the end of our vacation I started realizing something was just not right. I was getting sick every morning and food was no longer appetizing. So, when we got home on Sunday I took a pregnancy test and discovered that we were PREGNANT! We were so excited that we did not even believe the test. When the strip said pregnant Will said "get in the car were going to CVS to get more pregnancy tests." We ended buying 10 more tests and discovered that our dream had come true.. We were expecting!
Our test showing were EXPECTING!
The interesting thing about this day was that it was Father's Day. With it being Father's Day and us having our own family dilemma we decided that we had to jump the gun and announce the pregnancy immediately. Our dilemma was that my brother Brandon was getting married the following weekend and it was going to be apparent to all our family and friends that something was up when I was not partaking in the cocktail hours throughout the weekend. We also did not want to "steal" his and my future sister-in-law's show. So, we decided to go ahead and announce that we were having a little baby. When we told our parents of our news they were so overjoyed and excited. We also decided to go ahead and tell the rest of the family which made this day so special.

The following week we were able to celebrate with all our family and friends our exciting news and the marriage of my brother Brandon and sister-in-law Anne. Thankfully, they did get married right after we found out since I'm not sure if I could have fit into the bridesmaid dress after that week. However, it was a wonderful time to be with everyone who is going to be a big part in our little ones life.
